Haha love the criteac. I haven't sorted that yet. Thinking about making one out of Egypt cotton and tung oil.

Take the ridge line right through the loops the personally I use prussic knots and bungees to keep the tarp taught which then forms an automatic drip point

I can't post a photo at the moment because of low memory but I run one long line through the tarp loops then use prussic loops and short bungees to pull the tarp taught which makes automatic drip points

I think its the best way Bop but others have there own methods. Its a case of what works for every individual

How does it act as a prip point? Thank you and I will definitely move to these sounds a lot more simple. The tarp I was using there is a car tarp no loops. But when I make one I will be sure to put some on.

If it is done properly, a prussic loop grips so tightly that it will not allow the rain to flow down the hammock suspension line, therefore the rain will drip vertically from the 'loops.

My set up

Try using a metal ring in between the hammock and the tree straps this will prevent water wicking its way to your hammock when it rains.
